On 23 April 2016, Hotel Equatorial Shanghai launched “Under the Same Sky”, a painting activity for children with autism. This is under the hotel’s Turquoise Project, which was created to give back to the community and to commemorate our 25th year anniversary.
To show its support for the noble Earth Hour campaign, the team at Equatorial will light up the hotel with just candles from 8.30pm – 9.30pm on Saturday, 28 March 2015.

Hotel Equatorial Penang recently hosted a Business Appreciation Party at its Grand Ballroom where a total of 300 guests comprising corporate clients, travel agents and airline representatives came dressed to the theme of ‘Razzle Dazzle’.
In the true spirit of the season, Hotel Equatorial Melaka, launched its ‘Season of Giving’ programme, a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative aimed at raising funds and fulfilling a child’s wish.
Hotel Equatorial Penang feted a sumptuous buffet at its new all-day dining Nada Lama for 28 disadvantaged children, some of whom have special needs, and 10 teachers from Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Gudang Rasau, Pahang recently. The hotel’s management team led by general manager Tan Lay Hong were at hand to welcome the group who were on the island for a 3 day/2 night visit.
After having opened a few months earlier, the new all-day dining Nada Lama which translates to ‘Yesterday’s Melody’ and is a tribute to Penang’s colourful past, celebrates its first festive season with a line-up of lavish buffets for lunch and dinner. The festive buffets offer a kaleidoscope of local and western dishes ranging from snow crab, fresh oysters and crayfish to green curry chicken and rack of lamb provencale.
Hotel Equatorial Penang recently swung open the doors of its brand new all-day dining Nada Lama which replaces the former Coffee Garden that underwent an extensive RM6 million renovation and upgrading programme.
